EMDR Intensives
Focused time for deeper healing
An intensive is a longer, focused therapy session designed to help you make meaningful progress in a shorter period of time. Rather than spreading the work over many weeks, we work in a concentrated way — allowing for deeper focus, momentum, and relief.
If you’ve already done therapy and want to move through what still feels unresolved, or if you have a specific issue you want to address deeply in a shorter time, an intensive may be the right format for you.
Why people choose intensives
You’ve done therapy before and want to go deeper
You feel stuck in old patterns and want to shift them
You’re ready for focused trauma work without weekly sessions
You have limited time, a busy schedule, or you travel often
You prefer a contained, intensive process rather than “open-ended” weekly therapy
By choosing an intensive, you enter a model that allows fewer interruptions, consistent momentum, and more concentrated processing. This often leads to faster shifts and deeper integration.
What kind of relief you may experience
Many clients notice meaningful changes even within the week following their intensive. Here’s what people commonly experience:
Calmer body and mind: less anxiety, panic, or reactivity
Clearer emotions: feeling lighter, steadier, and more grounded
Fewer intrusive thoughts or flashbacks
Better sleep and energy
Increased self-trust and confidence in relationships
Renewed sense of hope and relief: moving from “I’ll always be stuck” to “I can live differently”
How it works:
1. Two Intake Sessions — $250 each (90 minutes)
Before your intensive we’ll meet twice to ensure you’re supported and prepared:
Session One: Intake & Assessment — We review your background, clarify goals, and determine readiness.
Session Two: Preparation & Target Planning — We build grounding tools, identify specific memories or themes to focus on, and plan for the intensive.
2. EMDR Intensive Options
Choose the format that best fits your needs:
Half-Day Intensive (3 hours) — $675
Full-Day Intensive (6 hours) — $1,350
Both formats include EMDR processing, grounding/integration, and supportive breaks. Offered in-person in my Los Angeles office or virtually for California residents.
3. After-Care (30 minutes, included)
Within one week after your intensive we’ll meet for a follow-up session to integrate what surfaced, reinforce new insights, and support continued regulation and rest.

Research & Efficacy
Intensive EMDR formats are shown to be safe and well-tolerated.
They can reduce therapy drop-out rates by offering faster and more consistent engagement.
They are applicable to complex trauma / PTSD and many other issues that benefit from concentrated attention.
