Healing After Sexual Trauma: An 8-Week Group for Women
A structured, curriculum-based group for women (ages 18–35) healing from sexual trauma.
We focus on the impacts of trauma on the nervous system, reclaiming a sense of safety, exploring parts of self, and building internal resources for long-term healing.
When: Seasonal cohorts (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer)
Where: Virtual (Zoom) This allows women from across California to access support in a setting that feels comfortable and private.
Cost: Sliding scale $50–$75/session
Scholarships: 1–2 full scholarships available each season
How many people are in the group?
I try to keep groups small—ideally around 6 women—to support a sense of safety and connection. Occasionally I allow up to 10 participants to make the group more accessible, but I do my best to keep it intimate and manageable for the kind of work we’re doing.
Do I have to attend every week?
I encourage regular attendance, as it helps build a sense of rhythm, trust, and consistency. That said, I understand that life happens. You won’t be penalized for missing a session.
Who is this group for?
This group is for adult women (18+) who are healing from sexual trauma—whether it occurred in childhood, adulthood, or across the lifespan. Participants come from many different backgrounds, identities, and experiences. I welcome diversity in race, gender expression, sexual orientation, culture, and relationship to trauma.
What if I’m not sure what happened to me "counts"?
You’re not alone in that. Many survivors carry doubt or confusion—especially if memories are unclear or if self-blame has played a role. If you’re experiencing emotional or physical impacts from a sexual experience where there was coercion, boundary violation, a power imbalance, or something that just didn’t feel right—this space is for you. You do not need a specific label or detailed memory to participate.
Do I have to talk about what happened to me in detail?
No. This group is about how trauma is showing up now—in your body, relationships, emotions, or sense of self. You’re welcome to share anything that feels meaningful, but there’s no pressure to talk about specific memories or experiences. In fact, many survivors find the most healing in not retelling their trauma, but instead being supported as they reconnect with themselves in the present.
What Happens After the 8 Weeks?
Participants are invited to transition into a long-term processing group, where the structure softens and the focus becomes ongoing integration, relationship repair, and embodied strength.
You are welcome to attend the 8-week group as a standalone experience, or to continue into longer-term work if it feels aligned.
What Makes These Groups Different?
Trauma-Informed Facilitation: Led by Nicole Flynn, LCSW — a therapist with specialized training in EMDR, somatic therapy (TRM), and parts work
Small & Intentional: Groups are limited to 10, but most cohorts remain between 4-6 women to support depth, safety and meaningful connection.
No Forced Disclosure: We honor your pacing. There is no pressure to share your trauma story.
Body-Based & Nervous System-Literate: You’ll learn tools that support real-life healing — not just talk.
